Make A Donation

There are many ways in which you can support our group. Whether it is through a monetary donation or purchasing from our online shop, it is all appreciated! â€‹The research is ongoing, and although we frequently apply for federal or state funding, these agencies have very limited funds that are earmarked for such research. Funding rates are often <10% of submissions receiving awards. Thus, we rely upon the global community to help support aspects of our research that falls outside of government funding. We spend a tremendous amount of time engaging with communities, sharing our work, and communicating to diverse audiences across several platforms. Through the graciousness of people like you, ghost wolves and Red wolves have more hope for a brighter future. Thank you!!!

Where do the donations go?

We are (very!) happy to accept donations of any amount, and below are prices of research equipment and supplies we regularly need for the project. All donations go 100% to the project, with no overhead or fees. Please reach out if you are interested in funding a specific aspect of the project or larger program infrastructure.

  • $50: Expendable supplies, such as batteries, sampling tubes, calipers, etc.

  • $80: A tank of gas for our field vehicle

  • $300: Trail camera, which includes the cost of the SD cards and batteries

  • $500: Medical supplies to support veterinarian care for live-captured/trapped research animals

  • $2,100: Purchase and subscription cost for each GPS collar, which includes the 18 months of web service to track the collar

  • $5,000: Cost to sequence ~ 100 DNA samples to determine genetic ancestry

Support Artist Boat

There are many ways in which you can support alll wildlife species on Galveston Island . . . donations to Artist Boast directly aid in purchasing land to be set aside as a preserve. Help them raise $10 million in the next 2 years to purchase and protect 1,400 acres of precious wetland and endangered coastal prairies in Texas. Join their "Be One In A Million" program by donating. Each dollar donated will help them leverage an identical amount in federal or state conservation grants. To date, Artist Boat has saved 898 acres. Their current target is the Anchor Bay Peninsula, which is planned for a house development that would displace 697 species to build 52 homes.
